Let's go somewhere

Setting  intentions is for women who are going places, and I know that's you. Oprah says "Today, anyone who knows me knows that intention is still the number one principle that rules my life. It stems from the greatest spiritual law: What you put out into the world is what you get back. 

Your words become your world, that's why I love the idea of choosing a word for the year to help me stay focused on one big goal or intention. I've been doing this for several years now; choosing a word that will set the tone for the year ahead. A word to focus on. You see it's not a *to-do* list, instead its a *to-be* challenge to embrace the energy of the word. We are all a big ball of energy and that energy is either attracting or repelling certain things. 

Up until the time of writing to you today, I didn't know what my word for 2023 was. I tried on several but was struggling with the one word that was the best fit because I was over-thinking it instead of listening and surrendering.

This morning my word was sent by the universe through my mother as I reflected on our visit yesterday. Her energy is almost gone as she moves closer to her death.

Today I knew my word. This year I'm going to focus on being ENERGIZED physically, emotionally and spiritually. In order to become this version of me, I have to ask myself some questions: How does this woman think? What does she do? What does she wear? How does she carry herself?  I'll be more intentional about the environment I place myself in, the music I listen to, the conversations I have, the books I read, the thoughts I choose, the words I speak, the way I move my body. I'll do things that light me up, that give me energy that fuel my dreams.

Your word of the year is a passport to wherever you want to go in life. Let's pack our bags. 2023 is going to be the year we watch our lives unfold in all the ways we want.
